Transfer / Deferral/ Refund Policy

All transfers must be approved through High Five Events. Anyone caught attempting to sell or transfer their race entry/bib to another person or participate in the event using another participant’s race entry/bib as part of a non-approved transfer, will have said race entry/bib revoked, be disqualified, and be removed from the race without refund.

A refund, deferral, or transfer can only be requested up to the deadline posted below. Requests cannot be processed for an event that has already taken place.

The 3M Half Marathon Refund/Transfer/Deferral Policy is subject to change at any time.

TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PARTICIPANT 

Participants may transfer their registration to another participant of their choosing.

Fee: $40.00

  • The owner of the registration is responsible for finding another person to transfer to.
  • The last day to request to transfer an entry to another person online is Wednesday, Jan 17. It can be done in person at the expo on Friday or Saturday.

For the safety of all participants, participants may not give or sell their entry to anyone as a part of a non-approved transfer.  Transaction fees cannot be refunded.

Shirt size not guaranteed for transferred registrations.

TRANSFER TO THE RELAY

Find a friend and share the distance by transferring to the relay. Each person will complete half the run course. Once a transfer request is submitted it cannot be reversed.

Fee: $40.00 + any registration price difference at the time.

The owner of the registration is responsible for finding another person to share the relay with.

For the safety of all participants, participants may not give or sell their entry to anyone as a part of a non-approved transfer.  Transaction fees cannot be refunded.

TRANSFER TO THE VIRTUAL 3M HALF MARATHON

Participants can transfer to the Virtual 3M Half Marathon. Not available after 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 20.

Fee: $10.00

TRANSFER TO THE AUSTIN MARATHON, Half Marathon, or 5K. 

Participants may transfer to the 2023 Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Austin Half Marathon, or 5K. Not available after 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 21.

Fee: $30.00 transfer fee + any registration price difference at the time. 

For example, 3M Half Registration is currently $89.00 and the Austin Half Marathon registration is currently $99.00.  Then the total fee for the transfer is $40.00.

DEFER ONE YEAR

If you are currently registered for the 2024 3M Half Marathon you may apply to defer your registration one year.

Deferral fee Schedule: Fee through 8/25  Fee Through 11/21
3M Half Marathon $38.70 $64.50

Deferrals are not available after 11/21.

Once a deferral is submitted, the decision is final and cannot be reversed.
